Digital Online UV Spectroscopic Water COD Sensor for Surface Water

Based on the absorption of ultraviolet light by organic matter, spectroscopic organic material online sensor adopts the 254 nm spectral absorption coefficient SAC254 which is used to reflect the important measurement parameters of the soluble organic matter content in water, and it can be converted into BOD value under certain conditions. This method allows for continuous monitoring without the need for any reagents.
This product is widely used in the continuous monitoring of organic matter load in the sewage treatment process, on-line real-time monitoring of inlet and outlet water quality of sewage plant; continuous on-line monitoring of surface water, drainage of wastewater from industrial and fishery fields.

Measurement Principle

The DUVCOD-900 operates based on the ultraviolet (UV) absorption principle of organic matter. It utilizes the spectral absorption coefficient SAC254 (at a wavelength of 254 nm) to accurately quantify the concentration of soluble organic compounds in water. Under specific application conditions, the measured SAC254 values can be converted to equivalent COD, BOD, or TOC values. This innovative method enables continuous, real-time monitoring without the need for chemical reagents, eliminating secondary pollution and simplifying operational workflows.
